Tongue-tie is an oral condition that restricts the tongue's range of motion and remains attached to the floor of the mouth. The lingual frenum, which is the tissue connecting the bottom of the tongue’s tip to the floor of the mouth, is unusually short, thick, or tight. This limits a person's tongue mobility.
